Brush Cleaning....have you done it this week??

Makeup Brush Cleaning, one of those little chores that sometimes gets forgotten am I right?? ;)
Haha well don't worry you are not the only one, but regular brush cleaning is important. Bacteria and germs do begin to grow upon those hairs (eww!!) not to mention the build up of product. Your brushes will perform better, well your get better colour and blend if you clean them.

So how often should you clean them I hear you ask??
Foundation and concealor brushes should really be cleaned weekly to stop the build up of product. Brushes used near the eyes should be cleaned every two weeks and then the others around once a month. I myself usually wash all my brushes every two weeks.

How is the best way to do this??
Simply! otherwise you wont do it!! With water and either a gentle soap or brush cleanser. Shampoo is also great but make sure it is a gentle one and dilute it a bit before use. Wet your brush, put some cleanser in the palm of your other hand and swirl the brush into the cleanser to remove product. Rinse hairs under running water squeezing slightly. Repeat until no more colour comes out.  Squeeze gently with a dry towel, reshape the hairs and leave brushes to air dry.

Easy right?? Yay to clean brushes!

Have a great week.
