Terracotta Trends
Brrrr its beginning to get a little cold!
So as we come into the colder months makeup trends begin to change. You may have noticed the burgundy trend that has hit the shops for all clothes, shoes and accessories well this deep rich colour has come out in makeup as well. So some trends to catch onto:
Eyes
The smokey eye is a winner any season really but the deep defined eye is perfect for Autumn and Winter. Colours that are trending Terracotta smokey eyes or purples and greys. Terracotta brings out the colour of green, blue even brown eyes and so really works on everyone, if you eyes can look blood shot go for a slightly lighter brown. If you are not partial to that deep rich colour a mixture of browns will work wonderfully as well or try adding purple to your brown.
The other trend here for those not into wearing eyeshadow (there are some of you I know but I dont understand why haha ;-) ) a thin line of black eyeliner, gel eyeliner works wonderfully, just to define the eye not give it cat eyes is simple yet effective and of course finished off with lashings of black mascara!!
Lips
Rich deep lips is the thing this season. So go for burgundys, plums, deep pink lipsticks or stains. Remember to prep your lips for this as the deeper colours are a little unforgiving on dry lips and also LIP LINER is super important as you don't want those colours heading away from your lips!
Skin
Your skin is to be natural and luminous. Here I say the most important thing you can do is to have a good skin care program, it is the most important part but then matching your foundation to your skin is the next most important!!! Do not try and add some colour to your face with it that is done with powder and bronzer, Blush is also important I believe and so one that is in the same family as your lipstick but gives a natural glow is the key.
